Eastern Region Director

"Sisters Connecting For Change to Improve the Future of our Children"

Greetings from the "Historic" Eastern Region of the Continental Societies, Incorporated. We are the "Historic East" home of 10 National Presidents and two (2) of the three (3) Founding Chapters (Philadelphia and Washington, DC). As the Continental Societies is entering its 62nd year of service, the East continues to be a beacon of excellence in serving children. Through our 13 Chapters spanning from New York to Washington, DC, including Bermuda, outstanding programs in the areas of Health, Education, Employment, Recreation and the Arts & Humanities (H.E.E.R. + Arts & Humanities) continue to be provided annually.

In 2017 Chapters in the Eastern Region garnered 8 out of 18 National Program Awards which included 1st place in the two out the five program H.E.E.R + Arts & Humanities Program areas. The 2nd place overall award was won by the Metropolitan Philadelphia Area Chapter whose student was also the recipient of the Organization's awarded National Scholarship. We invite you to navigate to our program tab and to get an overview of some of the outstanding services provided by our Chapters. Then click on our Chapter links to get the real 411 on our work on behalf of children.

In addition, chapters and the Region provide over $60,000 in scholarships to new college bound and continuing student annually.

As we always say, Our Children are Our Commitment and Our Concern. Please do not hesitate to contact us at

In Service For Children,

Venida Y. Hamilton
